NUON CHEA, the most senior and one of the surviving members of Cambodia’s Khmer Rouge, has appeared in court.

He is to be charged with war crimes and crimes against humanity, by a special tribunal .

Firstly, nobody can escape the long arms of law.

Secondly, he had have a legal team to defend ------- (not even imaginable during their reign of terror)

In a civilized and democratic environment, every body could enjoy the equal chances.

Fair and equal rights could be guaranteed to all , including dictators and tyrants, just only by democratic judiciary !

So, please don’t be afraid much, Mr. Butchers.

The advertisements of the " Free Funeral Services " Society had been banned printing in the local media in Burma .

That volunteer service, standing on public donations, is running with admirable successes quite a long time. Not only helping the poor and the needy but also for all strata of life, the reputation of that society becomes so great . The society is actively led by famous Actor Kyaw Thu .

During “ The September Saffron Revolution “, ( U ) Kyaw Thu & his colleagues had been offering alms to the demonstrating monks . As reprisal measure of the Junta, most of them were banned public appearances.

Elongated Thought

Nothing related to the good deeds of the said society, offering alms is just in his personal capacity. But now, the bad news hit us.

I could find no exact words or adjectives to label the junta’s act.

Prelude to express some indecent things, there is a Burmese saying , that “ please do not listen with your ears, but listen with the sole of feet “

The act of banning the advertisement of a volunteer service and that sort of news should not be worth to be heard even with the sole of our feet !!!

Mr.Gambari’s answer to Newsweek’s Patrick Falby on 28th Jan. issue : ---

“ As a matter of fact, each time I’ve had difficulty getting the visas, China has been very helpful

persuading the authorities to issue visas “

Mr. Gambari’s response had been triggering some questions for me !

(1) Couldn’t the junta be able to decide, by themselves, even to issue a visa for an eminent diplomat ?

(2) Was this answer meant the diplomatic version of “ I could get the visa on approval of China” ?

(3) Does “ persuading “ be synonymous with “ dictating “ ?

(4) Would it be too pessimistic to say , sooner or later, visas could be applied through

Chinese Embassies to enter in our sovereign country ?

I ,myself , have been trying hard to answer but I was overwhelmed by sadness and despair !

May I get some help from you ?

Indonesia’s dictator-cum-president Suharto is now terminally ill.

Regional political dignitaries, as MM Lee of Singapore, Dr. Mahathir of Malaysia, & The Sultan of Brunei , are paying visits .

One question arises. If Chief of Butchers ,SG Than Shwe, was on the dead-bed, who else would come .

In this knowledge-oriented and flat global village, one can see clearly how much different are there ?

What is wrong a library in Rangoon, one in their bunker-capital, and each in the large cities , as the branches of the national library!

Even privately donated library , as LUDU’s in Mandalay , was not allowed to the public!

Denying access to knowledge means opening the prison’s gates!

A clear signal of the fascists that they just need ignorant rice-eating robots only.

So as now they are!!!

Time flies -----!

The fourth day of January , 2008---The 60th Anniversary of our Independence

Day! Auspicious ! And the most respectful salute to Bogyoke Aung Sann and all freedom fighters.

Though in New Year’s holiday mood , I do feel or make myself confused with

An authentic, unmistakably correct but precise definition of the word
“ independence”.

But please kindly don’t tell me that :----

Living in a geographically recognized area ( may it be called a country );

Ruled by a local-blood government ( rather than a foreign body );

A permanent seat in UN ;

A bench in regional community and so on and so forth to define the word

“ independence “ . Thank You !

Let us witness the facts afloat throughout 60 years stretch of time .

Once, our country was the most promising land in the region !

Now ?

Once, ours was one of the most advanced economies in the region!

Now ?

Once, our universities were so prestigious to be accredited by almost all educational institutions !

Now ?

Once, our people were so kind, benevolent, joyful and happy to be admired by the whole world !

Now ?

You may count a lot of other “once-s” and so many like “ Now ?”

May I be allowed to leave you with all these ?

And please judge by your-good-self “ how come “ or “ why “.

To the best of my most humble and honest opinion, the most important message to you are :--

In Unity, we must stand up to stop the reign of the beasts!

In Unity, we must struggle to regain our birth- rights !!

In Unity, we must strengthen the fraternity of our ethnic bloods !!

In Unity, we must struggle hard to build a true democratic civil society !!

In Unity, we must share the sweetest taste of independence, equally among us !!

In Unity, we must do our best to guarantee the bright future of new generation !!

Shall we---not in letters, but in essence ?

To the Burmese military scholars in Russia & To whom may have been in KoSherShay’s Blog!
First of all, we do feel reluctant to allege anyone as brain-washed.If so be alleged , the accused shall have full autonomy to prove otherwise. As of - Action speaks louder than words. We are eager and enthusiastic to see you all as kinfolk rather than self-proclaimed elites by any reason whatsoever.

If some of us would have used vulgar or foul words , we could censure him or her .We shall . But can you prove it to me beyond reasonable doubts ?

Let us recall the sorrowful scenes of 2007 September peaceful demonstrations. While witnessing inhumane beating to death of unarmed monks and people , could you please answer a simple question .

How do you feel at that moment ?

Pleasure ? Or eager to bluff as fake plots as mentioned by junta ? Or feel brave enough to admit as wrong and uncivilized? Or hiding behind the black smoke of self-aligned security concern ? Or finger-pointing to blame on others including superiors ? Or deemed as just simply obeying the orders to do so ?

And then what is the truth ?

Secondly, we are just duty-bound common citizens but educated , to an extent , able to differentiate between right and wrong.We are participating in—for the good of our devoted country;----for the cause of our long-suffering, ill treated people;----for the sake of freedom in peace.

Only born psychopaths can put aside the duties- by-birth of a citizen.
And freedom of expression is definitely our birthright.
However, a clear line must be drawn to clarify that freedom of expression shall not be used as freedom of abuse . Never !!

All ideas, visions and views must be welcome in order to image a perspective of reality, of truth.

To be respected does not need to ask for , but do need self to expose well- qualified and worth to be so . Here,, mutual respect shall pronounce aloud .
Without mutual respect, ignoring or blind rejection of controversial ideas could arise . Thus tends to chaos and disaster.
Apparently , it seemed to be right that an army must be obedient to its government.
Yes --- to the legitimate one. Now let’s see the status of SPDC ! De facto !

Better bear in our mind is that if the government did not come/form from the people, for the people and by the people, de facto never ever become de jure . Legitimacy could be thus challenged.
Even in communist China, politburo and cabinet members are elected not selected. More importantly, the Chinese leaders are smoothly relaying the state power to younger and
more efficient generation .
How much different from us--- anybody can see the backwardly conservative old octogenarians cling to the absolute power .

Let’s see now the quasi-democratic Russia . Putin has promised to leave the office after completion of two consecutive terms as allowed in their constitution . When will be ours ? If time could be counted for 1990 election be null & void, why couldn’t be so for power - maniacs now ruling ?

As widely accepted and practicing international standards , only publicly elected governments are legitimate . Dogmatically gripping the so-called and un-democratic road map could lead to nowhere for that road map is totally against the highly justifiable desire of the whole nation.

Therefore, the military shall have to obey the commands of legitimate de jure government elected by the people . And all sort of command must be well tuned for the sake of people.Ever demanding is the military should have rudimentary qualifications to make good judgements and to discriminate between whether right or not .

The military shall also be entitled to enjoy all democratic rights like all other citizens – no less but no more . Due to difference in nature of job, they might need some remunerations but must be equal in democratic rights. But now most of military members are thinking about common people as second-class citizens . How come so awkward !

Though being public servant, the military should have the right to examine a command and should have to object any command contrary to the public interest. That kind of right will be well reserved even if the wrong command is coming down from an elected legitimate government .

Bogyoke Aung Sann , our greatest national father , had been strongly insisting on this issue—

Only justifiable commands for the sake of the entire nation should have to be followed.Allegiance to which side is most vital ;---to the people or to the regime !
Plse kindly be suggested to read Восстание декабристов thoroughly. Wishing you all be heroic professional soldiers of the people in an esteemedpeoples’ army . We do hope You should accept “ The State is The People “ not a group
of individuals.

#As promised , the Thai Army set out the elections.
Memories of 1990 call in ---land-slide victory of the people but partially crushed down under the iron-heels.
And, the dictators also have had heavy breaths for survival since then till now

#As of neighbors, Burma and Thailand shared long history at war and in peace.
Once, the Burmese had called Thais as YODAYARS, literally meant the citizens of AYUDDHAYA , who were defeated by Burmese warriors then .

(this is still in use but as of lesser abusive way).

# Now ! ---------How could we meet Thais in the norms of overall development.

Our country, once the most advanced in the region, becomes least developed even in neighboring nations. All aspects, education, health sector, GDP, technology,(You can name all with no exception) had been downgraded into devastation . Nobody can deny it. Nobody can hide the facts.

Just pointing fingers to others and cunning accusations could not relieve any responsibility related thereto.
Any government must serve the best for its citizens’ livelihood. If not so , what is the reason to cling the ruling power ?
If not competent to govern, It is advisable to go back to its status quo ante or in other words back to barracks.
Who else has to accept a country should be put into a garrison or more likely into a concentration camp?

# Who are to be blamed on sliding a nation down so deprived?
# Who are to be blamed on recklessly exploiting our resources ?
# Who are the real blood- suckers of us ?

The answer is quite obvious : definitely not the democratic forces who are struggling hard towards a civil society. And then Who ?

They are those who try to govern a nation without macro-plans both in economic development and civil administration; those with greed and selfishness are the only terms understood; those ignoring the cause of the whole population.

That’s why no wonder that the country sinks into total poverty; no wonder that starvation strikes in an agro-based environment; no wonder that corruption becomes epidemic.

At least but not last, deduction of stupid ,non-sense and non-public expenditures could save a lot to feed the people in need.

Being blind to the reality and hyper-dreams in their self-ornamented virtual world, they are now feeling shocked while the truth is coming out.

It is ridiculous to see them kneeling down to and begging help from China and India , while shouting aloud of self-reliance, while condemning the sanctions imposed .

Dignity and shame didn’t include in their mindsets, thus anything seemed to be fair to fatten their bank-accounts abroad . The whole world could see how dumb they are—as Singapore’s acid tongued MM Lee once remarked.

Agonizing cries of the people for bare minimum rights could not reach them properly because they were thickly insulated with greed, ignorance and
egocentric selfishness.

Among our leading politicians or military heads, the only one who could always be deserved the greatest is Bogyoke Aung Sann ! Nobody, then, now and forever !

Only psychopaths would imagine to level himself with Bogyoke Aung Sann !

Please kindly be warned that The Fourth Burmese Empire could not be built by putting everything available
from the country into privately owned coffer .

And what is the real meaning of “ Independence “? Living on a geographically demarcated land under the rule of local blood ? The majority is in the utmost hardship for daily meal while the minority is lavishly enjoying
champaign (a bottle being worth equivalent to/or more than one-month income of ordinary citizen)? Just be silent whatever the rulers are doing ? Robotic nods for whatever the rulers are saying? Staying shut-up while knowing the nationally owned resources are being robbed and using just for a group of self-claimed elites ?

Please may we get a sound answer for the genuine meaning of “ Independence “ !
It is our humble and honest opinion saying to look outward if not able to able to look forward .
Be objective rather than subjective !
Be shameful to do evil to the people !
The world is transforming to better living planet assuring all the basic rights of all !
How could we be left behind in an aristocratic enclave !!!
The general of Thailand had proved themselves as vanguard of their own people.

When could we see ours so ????

A 710-year-old copy of the declaration of human rights known as the Magna Carta — the version that became part of English law — was auctioned Tuesday for $21.3 million, a Sotheby's spokeswoman said.

Sotheby's vice chairman David Redden called the old but durable parchment "the most important document in the world, the birth certificate of freedom."

The Magna Carta came into existence when a group of English barons demanded that King John affix his seal to a list of protections at Runnymede in 1215. Those edicts were not fulfilled, but subsequent versions of the document followed for the next 80 years, until 1297, when it was codified into law.

Gender: not known yet; initial investigations indicate homosexual

Visibility: impaired ; illusioned vision assumed ; can see just printed in Myanmar Ahmaung.

Hearing: impaired ; can hear just what junta said

SpecialFeatures: some found with no brain ; but some with contracted mini-brains
can use computer especially typing vulgar & foul words

Miracle Reversed

In a small country with no natural resources , a leader had been building his country successfully.

Within 30 over years, that country could be seen as of economic miracle. That leader believed himself great around the neiboring states.

With a gesture of pride, He did offer an advice to the ruling generals of Burma!

" Hey ! Men! I can help you lah. If done as per my advice,, your economy can be boomed within 15 years.
Then yours shall be the same as mine."

The generals retorted :

" Don't worry oldman! We are able !Even We could manage to turn yours would become so deprived as ours within months!"

Once, soccer god David Bechham was invited by Killer Than Shwe to demonstate soccer skill , especially aiming to be learnt by his grandkid, not for National Team .

David played exquisite twists & turns with his utmost skill—,admiringly to all audience allowed , flying the turf grass into the sky!

Then, the Killer boss called David and told him ,
" Your skill is extremely great, David! But you could make the turf grass flying! Bear in your mind that I can make the whole soverigned land of Burma flying into a province of China ! "
